The English edition of Voluntary Local Review (VLR) of Chandragiri was launched on World Habitat Day, 7 October 2024 which evaluates the municipality’s qualitative and quantitative progress on key Sustainable Development Goals: Good Health and Well Being (SDG 3 ), Quality Education (SDG 4),  Gender Equality (SDG 5), Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6), and Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11). This collaborative and consultative process enhance stakeholder engagement and accountability, offering a roadmap for achieving SDG targets.

The Nepali version (दिगो विकास लक्ष्यको स्थानीय स्वैच्छिक मूल्यांकन,  २०८१) will serves as a refence for other local governments  (both municipalities and rural municipalities) who are willing to develop their VLR in local language. The VLR guides Chandragiri Municipality’s development process and foster collaboration for sustainable and inclusive growth aiming to achieve by 2030.  

The VLR was developed through support from the project “Fostering COVID-19 recovery and SDG implementation through local action” funded by the 2030 Agenda Sub-fund and implemented by UNDESA, UNESCAP and UCLG-ASPAC in Asia-Pacific.
