About:
Nepal is one of the recipient countries of GSF and is receiving US$ 5 million for a period of 5 years to implement GSF programme. The GSF programme has appointed UN-HABITAT through an open competition process, as its Executing Agency, through which the fund will be distributed to different sanitation and hygiene programmes in Nepal. The fund will provide support to the government to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and National targets on sanitation.The GSF programme in Nepal was launched in October 2010 in Kathmandu.
